Timeless Tale of the Nutcracker Ballet

​Join us as we bring the holiday classic ballet and magical tale of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King to life at Tecumseh Center for the Arts. Scores of dancers in elaborate costumes dance to the timeless music of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet December 7-9, 2017.

The TCA Nutcracker Ballet has become a biennial tradition at the theater, and is the only Nutcracker Ballet being performed in Lenawee County this holiday season. In collaboration with Tecumseh Dance Workshop, Dance Step Studio, Encore Dance Studio, and Dance with Heart Studios – you’ll be swept away with the Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Candy Canes and Tin Soldiers to the Kingdom of Sweets.

Tecumseh Center for the Arts is proud to present this year’s performances that will showcase the ballet talents from Lenawee, Jackson, Monroe and Washtenaw counties. Come see the breathtakingly beautiful artistry of this year’s performers along with the splendor of their ballet costumes and magical sets while hearing the timeless music of Tchaikovsky.

This beautiful ballet would not be possible without the talent and dedication of our local team of choreographers including Artistic Director Annamia Rumley from Tecumseh Dance Workshop and Choreographers Laurie Stoianowski and Kristen Meadows of Dance Steps Studio, Ashley Palmer and Riley Carrier from Encore Dance Studio and Anya Noveskey from Dance with Heart Studios. Their passion and vast experience brings world-class ballet to the Tecumseh Center for the Arts every two years.

Make the Nutcracker Ballet part of your holiday traditions. Tickets are available for Thursday, December 7 at 7:30 pm, Friday, December 8 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, December 9 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors and youth.
