Thank you Elizabeth Ruthruff Wilson Foundation for supporting Tecumseh Center for the Arts once again this season. The theater received two separate grants from the Foundation for this year's season.

The first award for $9,500 will help bring the Irish/Celtic band RUNA to the TCA stage on Friday, February 24. Called "Timeless and flawless ..." RUNA is quickly gaining recognition as one of Irish music's new "super-groups," interweaving the haunting melodies and exuberant tunes of Ireland and Scotland with the lush harmonies and intoxicating  rhythms of bluegrass, flamenco, blues, and jazz while offering a thrilling and redefining take on traditional music. Tickets for RUNA are $25 for adults and $23 for seniors, youth and military. Learn more about RUNA here.

The second award for $1,000 will be used to bring the 338th Army Band from Livonia, Michigan, to the TCA stage during our Veteran's Day celebration which takes place on Saturday, November 5 at 12 pm (noon). This event is free to the public and will include guest speakers and color guard.

The Foundation is confident that music and the performing arts positively enhance people’s lives, which is why the Elizabeth Ruthruff Wilson Foundation seeks to enrich the Lenawee County region’s cultural life through its support of, education in, performance of and appreciation for the performing arts. The Foundation’s primary focus is on music and performing arts programs that benefit the Lenawee County community and/or students in the County’s primary and secondary education programs (including post-secondary scholarships in music and performing arts).

THIS NON-PROFIT FOUNDATION:
*Perpetuates the charitable vision of Elizabeth Wilson in its assistance to music and the performing arts.
*Serves the Lenawee County region as an important resource by awarding grants to qualified non-profit organizations with specific, identifiable needs in the areas the Foundation targets.
*Values self-reliance and encourages the use of matching funds for proposed projects.

The Elizabeth Wilson Foundation funds only projects that involve music and the performing arts.
