ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TECUMSEH CENTER FOR THE ARTS - 2021 HVAC UPGRADES THE CITY OF TECUMSEH, Michigan, will receive sealed bid proposals for construction trade work from qualified contractors for the 2021 TECUMSEH CENTER FOR THE ARTS (TCA)- HVAC UPGRADES project. One prime contract will be utilized for the work. The work includes removing and installing boilers, modular air handler and roof mount air cooled condensers, associated electrical systems, and providing a Direct Digital Control (DDC) temperature control system. The work is not subject to prevailing wages. MANDATORY PRE-BID WALK THRU WEDNESDAY, MAY 19, 2021, AT 10:00 AM. Bidders will assemble at the main lobby of the TCA at 400 N. Maumee St., Tecumseh, Michigan, 49286. Bid drawings and specifications will be available prior to the walk-thru and can be obtained electronically by making a request to Mende Engineering Solutions, LLC, Inc: e-mail: [email protected] or phone: (517) 437-6998. Questions and comments by Contractors for inclusion as Bidders shall be addressed to JoAn K. Mende, PE, Mende Engineering Solutions, LLC. by e-mail at [email protected]. Procedural questions (only) can be directed to Tonya Miller, Tecumseh City Clerk, at [email protected] or (517) 424-6541. All bid proposals shall be submitted on the bid proposal forms provided in the specification book and completed in accordance with the bid proposal instructions. Bid proposals must be mailed or delivered to Ms. Tonya Miller, Clerk, City of Tecumseh, 309 E. Chicago Blvd., Tecumseh, Michigan 49286. The sealed Proposals should be labeled “TCA HVAC Upgrades Project.” Proposals must be received prior to 10:00 AM EST, JUNE 3, 2021, at which time Bid Proposals will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bid Proposals received after the receipt deadline will be returned unopened. Facsimile or electronic submission of bids will not be accepted. All bids will be evaluated after the bid opening. The Project will be awarded on or during the week of June 7, 2021. A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of Base Bids shall accompany each proposal. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier’s Check, or Money Order. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid date. Labor, Material and Performance bonds shall be required for 100% of the cost of the project. Bidders must employ sufficient personnel such that work is substantially complete by October 15, 2021. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bid proposals which they feel to be in their own best interest.
