The whole world’s a stage! Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) is hosting TELL-A-BRATION, an international storytelling event on Friday, November 20, 2015, beginning at 7:30 pm. This year’s event is once again emceed by the host of the 2014 National Storytelling Festival, Corinne Stavish.

"As satisfying as a bowl of homemade chicken soup on a blustery winter day, Corinne Stavish delivers insightful stories of her Jewish heritage with warmth, wit and wisdom. Eloquent and entertaining, Corinne is a joy to work with, a pleasure to listen to, and a delight to learn from."
~Debi Richan, Timpanogos Storytelling Institute

"A renowned storyteller. Speaking with her hands, mouth, eyes, she brings life to tales."
~Orion Township News

"A superb storyteller…one of the best inter-generational workshop leaders, performers and teachers in the United States."
~Harlene Appelman, Executive Director, The Covenant Foundation

Corinne’s story began in The Bronx and has led her from New York, to Oklahoma, Illinois and finally right here in Michigan. Living in four states has given her an unusual perspective of this country and introduced her to a variety of people (characters) who populate her stories. Universally recognizable regional accents and situations fill her tales.

Corinne credits her father, Martin Grayson, for instilling in her a love of justice, a passion for history, a wicked sense of humor, and a drive to share stories. She uses her degrees in Theatre, Literature, and Performing Arts to great advantage, whether in the classroom or on stage, to shape personal and public history into inspiring narratives described as powerful and poignant.

TELLABRATION!™ is a worldwide evening of storytelling. It creates a network of storytelling enthusiasts bonded together in spirit around the world during the month of November.

The TCA’s Tell-A-Bration will feature an evening of storytelling by Corinne Stavish plus story sharing as interested participants throw their name into a hat and see who’s selected to share their five to six minute story. If interested in participating, please contact the Tecumseh Center for the Arts at 517.423.6617.

Tickets for Tell-A-Bration are just $5 and can be purchased by phone at 517.423.6617, at the Box Office located at 400 N. Maumee Street, Tecumseh, Michigan or on-line at www.thetca.org. For additional information contact the Box Office at 517.423.6617 or [email protected].
