Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) has added two part-time employees to their team. Earlier this month, TCA Director Kelly Jo Gilmore hired Josh Mattison and Julie Donovan to help with facilities maintenance at the theater.
Josh Mattison was hired as the newly created position Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Josh is currently employed at Tecumseh Public Schools as their Director of Facilities and will be assisting the TCA a few hours each week to keep the theater running smoothly and efficiently. “Josh’s knowledge and experience will be instrumental in moving the theater forward.” Stated Director Kelly Jo Gilmore. “In just a few weeks, he’s already fixed several issues throughout the building including the hot water tank, and the boiler and pump operations.” Julie Donovan has joined the TCA team as Facilities Maintenance Manager and will oversee cleaning the facility throughout the week as well as before and after shows. She will also organize supplies and materials in the shop and costume shed. Her experience in cleaning, management and organization will be essential in keeping the theater in good shape. “I am thrilled to have Julie join the TCA team.’ Commented Gilmore. “She is actively involved with Tecumseh Youth Theatre and a passionate supporter of the theater. Her dedication to the theater and its role in the community will go a long way in keeping the theater clean for patrons and renters.” Both Mattison and Donovan reside in Tecumseh. “I’m ecstatic to have a filled several open positions at the theater and am thrilled that both new employees are passionate about the theater and the role it plays for the Tecumseh community.” Stated Gilmore. “They are truly here because they want to give back to the theater and they both understand what a treasure the TCA is for the community.
