Kylee Phillips Closes Out Black Box Summer Series

"Kylee Phillips will take the stage to close out Tecumseh Center for the Arts’ (TCA) Black Box Summer Series on August 25 at 7:00 pm. ​The embodiment of Pure Michigan talent, singer-songwriter and pianist Kylee Phillips hails from Plymouth, Michigan. As a pop and folk artist, she has been likened to such artists as Sara Bareilles and Brandi Carlile. Kylee delivers an array of music that weaves together personal lyrics and an intimate performance style telling stories that are, as she puts it, “bigger than just me and my life.”
 
Local businessman Dan Hacker of Hacker Jewelers saw Kylee perform and recommended her to the Tecumseh Center for the Arts.
 
“Dan Hacker approached me earlier this year about bringing Kylee Phillips to the TCA,” stated Director of Operations Kathy Field. "We focus the spotlight on Michigan based artists during our Black Box Summer Series that we think our community will enjoy. We always like to receive recommendations and ideas from community members.”
