Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) is planning a week-long Fundraiser that includes three unique and exciting events including the Junk to Funk! Eco Fashion show on Thursday, May 3 at 7 pm.
Fashion Fundraising Week continues, with the ever-popular Junk to Funk! Eco Fashion Show. We're putting the spotlight on local artists, designers, fashionistas and ecologists as their wearable funky fashions are modeled on the TCA stage. These imaginative creations are comprised of upcycled, re-purposed and recycled materials. We will also have a silent auction, featuring items from local businesses, tickets to upcoming performances, and some of the creative fashions featured in the show! Junk to Funk! takes place on Thursday, May 3 at 7 pm with doors opening at 6 pm. Tickets are $15 each. Are you interested in designing an outfit for the event? Artists, designers, ecologists and fashionistas are all invited to create wearable art from recycled items or repurposed materials, to be featured in the Junk to Funk! Eco Fashion Show. Anyone may participate! All designs must be made of reclaimed or recycled materials and be safely worn on the human body. Submission deadline for artwork is Tuesday, April 24.
