Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) is planning a week-long Fundraiser that includes three very unique and exciting events. The need to fundraise for the theater is an ongoing effort by the TCA staff; however, this year the staff decided to focus their fundraising efforts into one amazing week. If you enjoy Tecumseh Center for the Arts, consider joining us for one, two or all three of these events. All ticket sales go to offset costs to maintain and repair the theater as we close out one season and prepare for next year’s season at your local community theater!
 

• First, the TCA Fashion Show takes place on Tuesday, May 1 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are limited to just 50 patrons and will be a fun-filled Ladies Night out with delicious cheese appetizers from The Boulevard Market and a cash bar including wine from The Flying Otter. Attendees will get a sneak peek at the hot clothing lines and accessories from local stores and boutiques including Great Ideas from Tecumseh, Devils Lake View Living from Manitou Beach, Sassy Wear Boutique from Monroe and Maurice’s from Adrian. If you like fashion, this is your event! Tickets are $25 each.

 

• Fashion Fundraising Week continues, with the ever-popular Junk to Funk! Eco Fashion Show on Thursday, May 3 at 7:00 pm. We're putting the spotlight on local artists, designers, fashionistas and ecologists as their wearable funky fashions are modeled on the TCA stage. These imaginative creations are comprised of upcycled, re-purposed and recycled materials. We will also have a silent auction, featuring items from local businesses, tickets to upcoming performances, and some of the creative fashions featured in the show! Tickets for this event are $15.

 

• Hold your horses; Fashion Fundraising Week culminates in the big event – the Kentucky Derby Fundraising Gala on Saturday, May 6 at 6 pm. This is your chance to dress to the nines and exhibit your most daring outfit and hat or “fascinator” – there will be a contest! The evening will also feature Derby staples such as Mint Juleps, lawn games, and, of course, the Kentucky Derby on the big screen. This is a brand-new event for the TCA! We look forward to watching the Kentucky Derby with the community and celebrating the theater with all of you. Tickets are $40 and includes concessions, cash bar, contests and your chance to win great prizes while raising funds for Tecumseh Center for the Arts.
