Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) concludes their National Touring Season with The Britins on Saturday, April 27, 2019.
On February 9, 1964, America was introduced to a musical phenomenon that would ultimately change rock and roll forever. That group was called The Beatles. Milwaukee's very own The Britins recreate the era that continues to influence so many top groups and artists today. Formed in 1977, The Britins are one of the first Beatles Tribute bands in the USA and has performed with legends such as Herman’s Hermits, The Turtles, The Grass Roots, The Buckinghams, Tommy James, and Frankie Valli! With all of your favorite hits such as “Love Me Do,” “Let It Be,” and “Help!”, The Britins will take you back in time as they sing iconic Fab Four songs. Follow along on a Magical Mystery Tour of sights and sounds through that remarkable era of the 1960's, recreated on authentic Beatles gear. Band members Mike Shumway as John Lennon, Rick Bertoni as Paul McCartney, Mike Truttschel as George Harrison, and Jeffery Gish as Ringo will make you question, are they really a tribute band or The Beatles themselves? The Britins perform at Tecumseh Center for the Arts on Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for seniors, youth and military members. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Both concessions and the TCA bar will begin serving at 6:30 pm. The Britins are sponsored by Tuckey’s Big Boy and C & P Glassworks. Tickets can be purchased through the TCA website at www.TheTCA.org or through the TCA Box Office located at 400 N. Maumee Street in Tecumseh, Michigan. You can also purchase tickets by calling 517.423.6617 Tuesday-Friday from noon until 5 pm.
