The TCA Big Band & VocalAires will present their annual Holiday Concert, A Season of Giving, Sunday, December 15 at 4:00 p.m. at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA). Join us as we celebrate this special time of the year with festive holiday swing music. The sounds of Glenn Miller, Nat King Cole, and Duke Ellington-styled holiday and standard tunes, including Jingle Bells, Christmas Island, Let It Snow!, The Christmas Song, God Bless’ the Child, Adeste Fideles, and more will provide a toe-tapping, swinging time, sure to help you get in the spirit of the Season!

This truly is A Season of Giving as the TCA Big Band & VocalAires are proud to team up once again with our patrons and the Tecumseh Service Club by collecting non-perishable food and personal care items at the door to be distributed in Northeast Lenawee County.  Since the band’s inception in 2004, our supporters have donated hundreds of pounds of canned goods, pasta, paper products, personal items, and more to local families.  We would like to make this the best year yet, so if patrons would like to help by donating, they can bring items to the lobby area on the day of the show.  The Service Club will gratefully accept monetary donations as well.  Donated food, personal care items, and monetary donations will be delivered by the Tecumseh Service Club to families in need throughout the Tecumseh, Britton-Macon, Clinton, Ridgeway, and Tipton areas in time for Christmas.

Tickets are now on sale for the Sunday, December 15th concert, and are only $10 each.  They can be purchased by calling 517-423-6617, or by stopping by in person at the TCA Box Office, 400 N. Maumee, Tecumseh, between 12 p.m. (Noon) and 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and one hour before the show. Patrons may also purchase tickets online 24-hours a day, 7-days a week at www.theTCA.org. Come enjoy a time-out from the hustle and bustle of the Season, courtesy of your TCA Big Band & VocalAires!  It’s A Season of Giving, so don't miss out on this fun-filled afternoon of great holiday music!

This year’s TCA Big Band & VocalAires Holiday Concert is sponsored in part by the TCA 39th Season Sponsor 3 Dudes and Dinner and this year’s show sponsor Martin’s Home Center.

Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) is celebrating Veterans Day by holding a free concert for the community in honor of local veterans and their families. The event is sponsored by the Elizabeth Ruthruff Wilson Foundation (ERWF) and will take place Sunday, November 10 at 4:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

Music will be provided by the Peace Jubilee Brass Band. In the spirit of the great American Peace Jubilee of 1869 comes the Peace Jubilee Brass Band. This group presents the latest and most popular tunes of the late 19th and early 20th century while using historic brass instruments that were commonly used by bands across America after the Civil War. To spruce up the event, they appear in period attire to add to the authenticity of their show! Don’t miss their fun afternoon at the TCA filled with polkas, quick steps, schottisches, marches, and even waltzes, where couples are allowed to embrace each other— how scandalous!

Guest Speakers include Tecumseh Mayor Jack Baker, Local Historian Bob Elliott, and Elizabeth Ruthruff Wilson Foundation President Theresa Powers.
