Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) is welcoming back New York, NY Dueling Pianos for its 2017-18 National Touring Season! This comedy-based dueling piano show is always a fun, high-energy party-in-a-box! Join pianists and Michigan husband and wife team Drew and Kin as they return to the TCA stage on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

New York, NY Dueling Pianos is a high-octane fiesta that’s part rock show, part comedy show and all sorts of craziness rolled into one big outrageous party. The audience becomes part of the show in a request-driven sing-along, dance-along, thump-the-tables-along extravaganza!

Started in NYC in 2012, New York, NY Dueling Pianos became a fast success as they began traveling all over the United States. Today, they have traveling shows, complete with pianos, sound and lighting, based in major cities in Texas, California, the Midwest and Florida. The group has carefully added to their performer roster, until they had the very best dueling piano talent anywhere.

Tecumseh Center for the Arts is offering several seating options for this year’s performance of New York, NY Dueling Pianos. Patrons can purchase individual seats in the house for $25 (adults) or $23 (seniors, youth and military members). Patrons can also purchase seats onstage for $40. Seating onstage includes your very own wait staff, complimentary concessions (popcorn, nuts, etc.) and a cash bar so you don’t have to miss one second of the show. Tickets are going fast, so grab your friends and purchase your tickets today!

Dueling Pianos will take place at Tecumseh Center for the Arts on Saturday, February 17 at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Both concessions and the TCA bar will begin serving at 6:30 pm. Beer and wine available for just $6 per bottle of beer or glass of wine.

New York, NY Dueling Pianos at the TCA is sponsored by Howard Hanna Realtor Robert Fox, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. Tickets can be purchased through the TCA website at www.TheTCA.org or through the TCA Box Office located in Tecumseh, Michigan. You can also purchase tickets by calling 517.423.6617 Tuesday-Friday from noon until 5 pm.

Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto your stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime.  Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR. follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.

Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends – Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo – have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape – with the help of some prodigious penguins – to explore the world.

This production is produced by Tecumseh Youth Theatre. For more information, visit their website.

Join the Kiwanis Club of Tecumseh for the next film in their Travel and Adventure Cinema Series. Pearls of the Caribbean will take place on Tuesday, January 9 at 7:30 pm.

Set sail with Marlin Darrah, to explore several island gems sprinkled throughout the Caribbean. Countries and cities visited are San Juan, Puerto Rico; Havana, Cuba; St. Barts; St. Maarten; Antigua; Dominica; St. Lucia; and Barbados. The Caribbean features some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world – from beaches to forests to mountains.

Small nations and territories with astonishingly diverse way of life – each island proud of its own culture. The islands were settled by migrant tribes from South America, gold-seeking Spaniards and European planters from France, England, Netherlands and Denmark. Add pirates, a huge African slave culture, the stir in Indians, Chinese, Syrians, Lebanese, more South Americans, and you have the dizzying recipe that makes up these islands. This program captures the spirit of the Caribbean, and the people are, in general, so open, that you can easily explore all its realms: political, religious and cultural.

Tickets are $5. You can purchase tickets online by clicking the link below.
