This summer, Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) experienced something extraordinary—an overwhelming outpouring of generosity that will impact our stage and our community for years to come.
It all began when an anonymous donor stepped forward with an inspiring offer. They recognized the urgent need for improvements to our theater—stage curtains that had worn beyond repair and no longer met safety requirements, and a rigging system essential for flying scenery and housing stage lights that needed critical repairs. Their generous challenge was simple but powerful: they would give $50,000 if the TCA could raise matching funds. What followed was nothing short of heartwarming. The community—business owners, individuals, and local organizations—rallied around this opportunity. Support poured in with gifts large and small, each carrying the same message: the TCA matters. Special thanks must be extended to the Maurice & Dorothy Stubnitz Foundation for their generous support, the Lenawee Community Foundation for honoring us with $15,000, and the Kiwanis Club of Tecumseh for their $10,000 contribution. Their leadership in giving inspired many others to step forward. Together, we didn’t just meet the $50,000 challenge—we surpassed it. With the community’s help, TCA raised a total of $70,210.00 this summer. The impact of this achievement is profound. These funds will allow us to replace the stage curtains, repair the rigging system, and ensure that the TCA remains a safe, vibrant, and inspiring place for live performances. This challenge was more than a fundraiser. It was a powerful reminder of how deeply the TCA is woven into the fabric of our community. Every dollar raised and every note of encouragement received was a testimony to the theater’s enduring importance—not just as a building, but as a space where memories are made, creativity is celebrated, and community comes together. The TCA staff is profoundly grateful. Your support, belief, and generosity are truly transformational. Because of you, the curtain will rise on a stronger, safer, and even more inspiring future for the Tecumseh Center for the Arts. From the bottom of our hearts--Thank You!
